Built in 1929 for the Universal Exhibition, the Avinguda Maria Cristina in Montjuïc was a jaw dropping art deco extravaganza that mesmerised visitors with its dynamic modern style.
Today, almost a hundred years later, some of the most iconic elements are gone and the global ¨wow¨ effect has been mitigated. Some magic remains though in the colorful waters of the fountain playfully dancing to the sound of music.
It's called the Font Màgica for a reason and it's one of the most beloved landmarks in the city.
